3D PLUG-INS
Some words about the 3D plug-ins
3D plug-ins might be more impressive than 2D ones, but they
usually require more CPU power and, in some cases, an extra 3D video card. In this page
there are the non 3dfx specific plug-ins. If a 3d card is required, it will be mentioned
in each plug-in.
Most of the 3D plug-ins require Open
GL. Open GL is normally installed in your computer if you use Win95
OSR2. In case you don't have it, you can download it. (Microsoft's Open GL (from
ftp.microsoft.com))

Very nice 3D VU meters with cycling colors and
resizable window. What made me good impression was the Win95 style setup program and most
of all the 90 day money back guaranty of this free product :))
Requires Open
GL. |

The three following plug-is are variations on
the same subject.

 |
The first 3D spectrum Plug-in. Nice
wave movement and rotation around the vertical axis. The colors are fully configurable and
the window is resizable.. The source code of this plug-in is available from the author's
page.
Requires Open GL. |

Tom & Jeff's 3D spectrum pro is an improved
version of the Squee's Spectrum 3d. It looks a bit better and more detailed. You can
configure it enough and the window can be resized and take almost entire screen. Source
code is available from the author's page.
Requires Open GL. Also works with SGI's Open GL
better. |

The third variation of Spectrum 3D. The detail
is good and looks pretty much like Tom & Jeff's Spectrum 3D pro. Not configurable but
the window is resizable. The biggest difference from the others is that you
can change the point of view using your mouse.
Requires Open GL. |

Three screenshots of the three different modes
of this plug-in. What makes it unique, is the face moving with the rhythm. The face is a
bit basic, but the plug-in is not in it's final version. Check for new versions at the
author's page.
